How does Web Hosting work?
Web Hosting works in conjunction with your domain name so people can see your site. All your files, scripts, images and video’s are stored on web hosting servers so people can publicly see your site. It’s so simple to upload your files using our web file manager or you can use FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Once that’s done, your files are then publicly accessible
What tools or software can I use to build my website?
There are so many pre-built scripts that can help you build the most simple of websites, right down to the most complex. You can use a wide range of scripts including WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and many more using our 1 Click Easy Install App
Which Web Hosting Plan is right for me?
Dependant on how heavy loaded your site is, the amount of content such as video’s, pictures..etc and a range of other factors, it’s best to choose a plan that gives you extra space and room to grow. We always recommend our unlimited plan if it meets your budget, but for those who know they have the odd page or two, you can use our smaller plans. If you’ve made the mistake of going to small, you can upgrade your plan of course!
I’ve Purchased a Hosting Plan, now what do I do?
As soon as you place an order, you’ll be generated an invoice. You can proceed to make payment via PayPal and pay for the invoice straight away. Once paid, normally within a few minutes (pending manual/fraud checks), you’ll receive an email with a link to SkyPanel (Your web hosting control panel) and your username/password
How is it possible to get Unlimited Hosting for £9.95?
Thanks to our fantastic relationship with datacentres worldwide, and no middle man, we have secured great rates that all our customers can enjoy (in most cases, our renewal rate is usually the same ; not many other hosting company’s can live up to!) All you pay is £9.95 per month for unlimited hosting.
How do I transfer my web pages to your server?
Transferring your site couldn’t be easier. Simply login to your old hosting account and download your files. Then upload them to us using the file manager inbuilt in SkyPanel or via FTP. It’s as simple as that, and of course if you are stuck, let us know and we’ll be more than happy to help you out to migrate your old site.
Can I host multiple domain names with my hosting account?
Of course you can, just make sure that your plan supports it. An “Addon Domain” is what you need to look out for, and it pretty much explains itself, you can add more domains to your account and link them up to folders within your cPanel/SkyPanel account. You don’t have to point your addon domains at the same site although you can if you wish.
Do you offer support if I get stuck?
Absolutely! If you have any troubles or queries regarding any of our applications including MySkyHost or SkyPanel, simply pop open a support ticket, and one of our team will reply promptly through there. We always recommend opening a ticket as it’s the most fastest way to contact us, especially when our call centres are busy.
