What is Shoutcast Hosting?
Shoutcast Hosting allows you to start your own online radio station, complete with a ton of features! You can broadcast directly from your mic, or setup AutoDJ and play your own music on air! Other people can listen in using the links you are given.
How do I play music through my PC?
It’s simple! When you’re on air, you can use “Stereo Mix” to broadcast music directly through your PC. Alternatively, we advise to have a secondary PC or device and plug this into your headphones port, and stream your music that way.
How do I upload music to AutoDJ?
You’ll be given full FTP Access to upload your music to your streaming account. Once live, you just need to activate AutoDJ, and then enjoy! Remember AutoDJ will limit the space you have based on which plan you choose.
I’ve purchased a shoutcast plan, now what do I do?
You will shortly receive an email within the next 48 hours (usually few minutes) with your shoutcast login details. You will have to login through cPanel / Centovacast and will be taken directly to your shoutcast control panel.
Can I arrange the music into playlists?
Yes! Once you have uploaded your music, you must reload the folder so the system can update its database with your new songs. After this, you can re-arrange and create playlists, as well as choosing different modes such as standard or random.
How can people listen to my stream?
Once you have logged into your WHMSonic or Centovacast control panel, on the left hand side you will see “Create Player Links” – With those links, you can share them anyway, Facebook, Twitter..etc so people can tune in directly to your site
What if my station grows?
We host so many different broadcasters and artists, so you’re in safe hands. At any time you can upgrade your plan, and we can even offer you your own dedicated VPS or dedicated server so nothing will stop you streaming, and running smoothly
